The Juniper PTX10016 is a 16‑slot modular packet transport router delivering 460.8 Tbps half‑duplex system capacity in a 21U chassis — powered by the Express 5 / Triton ASIC and Junos OS Evolved. Each line card supports native QSFP‑DD/QDD800 optics, enabling massive port density (up to 576 x 400GbE) with wire‑speed inline MACsec. Built for service provider cores, DCI, and AI/ML data center spines, the PTX10016 features full hardware redundancy (REs, PSUs, fans), deep buffers for lossless traffic, and advanced routing (SRv6, BIER, HQoS, INT‑MD).
